Frame products to fill 85% of the image
Amazon asks that the product fill about 85% of the main image. PrepShot finds the product, crops to it and scales it, for every photograph in the folder.
Finding the product
The bounding box comes from the cutout, ignoring specks and dust while keeping a genuine second piece: a bottle and its cap, a lens and its lid. A naive box stretched by one stray pixel in a corner produces a product at a third of the intended size, and nothing about it looks wrong until you compare listings.
What "fills 85%" means
The product’s longest side reaches 85% of the corresponding frame dimension, with the other free to come in under. A tall narrow bottle in a square frame should touch 85% of the height and stay narrow, not be stretched sideways.
Margins win over fill
Where the fill target and the minimum edge margin disagree, the margin takes priority, because on a pure-white preset the margin is what keeps the corner pixels at 255, and that is a hard requirement rather than a guideline.
Reported, not assumed
Every output records the fill it actually achieved, so compliance is something you can scan a whole batch for rather than take on trust.
